Key Considerations
- Footprint: Hook bins need a larger area for placement because they are rolled on and off the back of specialized trucks.
- Accessibility: They are ideal for sites with ample access, such as large construction sites or industrial areas.
- Waste Types: They are generally used for large volumes of dry general waste, construction debris, green waste, and recyclables.
- Loading: Most hook lift bins come with a rear-opening door to allow for easy walk-in/wheelbarrow loading.
It is strictly prohibited to place hazardous, flammable,
biological, and certain materials in hook bins due to safety,
health, and environmental regulations in Queensland. These
materials require specialised handling and disposal methods.
